Chapter 56 in The Palgrave Handbook of Servant Leadership, 2023, pp 1377-1413 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Principals influence and shape school cultures in ways that no other persons or roles can. This chapter provides descriptions of two high school principals operationalizing their interpretations of what servant leadership is in their day-to-day in-school experiences. Highlights of their observed behavior and reflections on their interactions and mindsets are explored. The features and descriptions derived from these principals are then compared to extant conceptualizations of servant leadership in a way that elaborates and provides insights into servant leadership in action.
