Chapter Chapter 5 in Employee Engagement in Nonprofit Organizations, 2023, pp 119-139 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Volunteers are vital resources for nonprofit organizations. They help organizations quickly acquire relevant experience, deep knowledge, and value-adding skills. In many cases, volunteers help extend a nonprofit’s reach into a wider range of locations and populations, and in other cases, volunteers provide the direct services that enable agencies to keep their doors open and deliver vital programs to people and communities in need.
