Abstract: Abstract The functioning of modern enterprises is based on new paradigms that result directly and indirectly from social and economic changes, as well as from the development of new technologies, primarily information technology. One of the significant changes is the spread of remote work. This form of work is connected with certain paradoxes. When working remotely, it is easy to arrive at the workplace, but more difficult to leave. During remote work, interpersonal contacts are established faster and easier, but can also be more limited and superficial than in a traditional workplace. On the one hand, remote work gives you freedom, but on the other hand, it can be considered a kind of bondage, especially when separating the roles related to private and professional life proves difficult. In postindustrial societies, increasingly immersed in virtual reality, the importance and scope of remote work will grow.
