Abstract: Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic devastated millions of lives and disrupted the world of work. This business disruption also presents an opportunity for innovation to transform and improve organizations, leaders, employees, and stakeholders. To address a complex environment and global talent shortage, it is crucial that organizations “revision” the way we lead, work, adapt to change, and collaborate creatively in ways that leverage and grow available talent, moving from innovation control to a more dynamic, design-driven innovation delivery. In this new world of work, characterized by new ways of organizing and working, new leadership styles, new benchmarks, and caring work cultures are also required. A leadership growth mindset is essential to balance the elements of strategy, process, and culture essential for long-term success in a complex environment. The five generations now in the workforce, with different value systems, aspirations, and goals, add to the complexity challenge. Ultimately, the pandemic may serve as a catalyst for revising legacy beliefs, structures, and behaviors in business.
