Chapter Chapter 4 in Maximizing Value with Automation and Digital Transformation, 2024, pp 37-41 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In his hugely entertaining best-seller, ‘Flash Boys’, Michael Lewis tells the story of Dan Spivey, a stockbroker-turned-entrepreneur who built a straight-line fiber optic link between Chicago and New York City that allowed brokers to gain a few milliseconds advantage over their competitors in executing financial trades (roughly a tenth of the time it takes you to blink your eye).
