Abstract:
Abstract This study examines the profound impact of megatrends, encompassing transformative global forces such as demographic shifts and technological advancements, on business operations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As the world transitions into a fully digital era, organizations face unprecedented challenges, necessitating adaptations in organizational structures, leadership, and HR models. Failure to align with these megatrends risks organizational obsolescence, particularly in the rapidly evolving Industry 4.0 landscape. The study delves into the disruptions caused by technological advancements, economic shifts, and geopolitical tensions, highlighting the increasing demand for digital competence among employees and the consequent shift in job requirements. It explores how AI-based management approaches and Smart HRM solutions are pivotal for navigating these complexities, enhancing operational efficiency, and addressing workforce challenges. However, ethical considerations and data privacy concerns must be carefully managed. Theoretical implications suggest a paradigm shift in organizational dynamics, emphasizing the need for theoretical models to reflect the transformed nature of work. Practically, businesses are urged to invest in workforce development, leverage technological advancements, and adapt marketing strategies to meet the diverse needs of the UAE's multicultural society. The study fills existing research gaps, providing actionable insights for businesses to thrive amidst megatrends and AI-driven changes. It underscores the dynamic and transformative nature of the UAE's economic landscape, emphasizing the importance of adaptive strategies aligned with national development goals. While limitations exist, foresight, and proactive planning are essential for organizations seeking resilience and sustainable growth in the UAE's evolving business landscape.
