Chapter Chapter 9 in The Leadership Spectrum, 2025, pp 121-137 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract This chapter describes the leader with super empathy who leads with compassion. Other descriptors of this type of leader include servant leaders, authentic leaders, compassionate leaders, and resonant leaders. The distinguishing characteristic of this type of leader is that they put their follower first, before the organization, unlike all other leaders. This is because of their super empathy. Servant leaders increase work engagement, self-efficacy, OCB, job attitudes, and performance of their subordinates.
