A chapter in New Horizons in Fashion and Marketing, 2025, pp 177-191 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The luxury fashion resale market is not a new concept or idea; companies and consumers have been reselling, reusing, and rewearing luxury fashion since fashion began. What has come to the forefront of luxury fashion resale (re-commerce) and the focus of this chapter is the growth and shift of luxury re-commerce, supply chains, and the acceleration of change in the luxury re-commerce/resale market. The luxury resale market sector is a growing and increasingly important part of the global fashion and luxury industry. As the appeal of pre-owned luxury goods has grown, the market has become increasingly competitive, driving the need for efficient supply chains that can effectively and reliably deliver these goods to consumers (McKinsey, 2021).
