A chapter in Corporate Performance Management, 2006, pp 153-159 from Springer
Abstract:
Summary Since the opening of the markets in the late 1990s, insurance companies have had to contend with global competition in which the abstract value “insurance protection” is the tradable commodity. Accordingly, optimizing organizational and IT processes and structures in this very conservative industry has now taken on greater priority, a very demanding task due to the highly sensitive data involved. With ARIS Process Performance Manager, a tool is available that enables reorganization and efficiency improvements, e.g. in application processing, to be measured and visualized for the first time. In several pan-European projects, it has led to a significant reduction in throughput times.
