Abstract: Abstract It is important to have a safe and stable electrolysis oxygen generation for long-term flight of the manned spacecraft. The electrolysis oxygen generation with micro-channels of small square cylinders is studied by CFD software FLUENT. Firstly, the low Renault k-å model was used to represent the characteristics of the flow field in the micro-channels, and the physical model was set up by GAMBIT. Secondly, the flow field at variable flow was obtained by 3D numerical simulation. The characteristics of the single-phase flow field in the micro-channels were analyzed. The velocity field of the electrolysis oxygen generation with micro-channels of small square cylinders was also analyzed. And the key factors of the micro-channels impacting on the uniform distribution of the water flow in the micro-channels were also analyzed. Lastly, the simulated results of the flow field by CFD were calibrated by comparing with that of the PIV experiments, which shows that the low Renault k-å model was suitable to describe the characteristics of the micro-channels in the generation.
