Abstract:
Abstract The paper is to study on the destroy behavior of delaminated composite plate under static load. A formula of element stiffness for the composite laminates is deduced by using the first-order shear deformation theory and selecting numerical integration scheme. A delaminated constrain model of laminated plate and a virtual interface element are developed to avoid the overlap and penetration between the upper and lower sub-laminates at the delamination region. The destroy behavior analysis method for the composite laminated and/or delaminated plates under static loading is established by Tsai’s 0.44 reduced stiffness role, and the equation is solved. From some numerical examples, the effect of structure stiffness and delamination location upon the destroy behavior of delaminated composite laminates is discussed. The method and conclusions would be useful for composite structures designers.
