Abstract:
Abstract The performance of Japanese major companies dropped dramatically since the mid-1980s. It has not recovered more than 20 years since then. Hoya, after 10 years of trials and errors, finally succeeded in moving back on the track toward continuous recovery by changing its corporate goals and behaviour patterns, although the economic environment surrounding the company was still unfavourable.
