Chapter 9 in Developing International Strategies, 2012, pp 167-186 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter we adopt the perspective of a company assessing a foreign location for production or sourcing while the target market into which the output will be sold remains the home country. In such cases, the relocation is mainly driven by cost considerations. Not explicitly discussed here is the constellation in which sourcing is offshored to one foreign country and the target market is a third country.
