Chapter Chapter 4 in The Supply Chain Differentiation Guide, 2012, pp 81-105 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The target of CM2 is the explanation of the concept product modularization in the context of supply chain management. Outsourcing is derived as a consequence of the concept of product modularization. Therefore, this chapter includes a thorough discussion of the implications of an outsourcing decision. Furthermore the concept of product modularization as well as the outsourcing decision are embedded into the supply chain strategies.
