Abstract: Abstract Operational Excellence programs do not come with a guarantee of success. Many reasons have been given for failures, one of the most common being the ‘layer of clay’ in middle management levels who are resistant to change. Although this is often the case, inertia, complacency and resistance are key challenges at the level of individual contributors and senior executives as well as middle management.
