Abstract: Zusammenfassung Controlling ist ein wesentlicher Erfolgsfaktor der Unternehmen in den deutschsprachigen Ländern. Gleichzeitig bestehen vielfach Unklarheiten, was Controlling im Kern ausmacht. Ziel des Papiers ist es daher, einen aktuellen Stand des Verständnisses von Controlling sowie der Rolle der Controller als Grundsatzposition des Internationalen Controller Vereins (ICV) und der International Group of Controlling (IGC) zu formulieren.
