Abstract: Zusammenfassung Als eine der Säulen des Gesundheitswesens sehen sich Krankenhäuser heute mit einem hochdynamischen und komplexen Markt-, Wettbewerbs- und Regulierungsumfeld konfrontiert. Dieser Beitrag thematisiert das Controlling als notwendige Unterstützung der Krankenhausführung. Dabei werden Funktionen und ausgewählte Instrumente des Krankenhauscontrollings praxisnah dargestellt.
