Abstract: Zusammenfassung Zwar sind die allermeisten Controller innerhalb von Unternehmen beschäftigt. Es existieren jedoch eine Reihe von Dienstleistern die als Externe Controlling-Tätigkeiten erbringen. Der vorliegende Beitrag beleuchtet zunächst aus ökonomischer Sicht Erklärungsansätze dafür bevor anhand empirischer Daten die Situation des Outsourcing von Controlling-Dienstleistungen betrachtet wird.
