Abstract: Abstract During the execution of supply chain processes, critical deviations between the planned and actual states occur repeatedly. These discrepancies can lead to small operational disturbances that limit the efficiency of the supply chain, but also to serious disruptions that threaten the company's existence. The trend towards increased digitalization allows for more autonomous and efficient data acquisition through sensors, RFID technology, barcode scanning, etc.; this data offers the potential to autonomously detect deviations and implement possible reaction measures quickly and smoothly to improve supply chain efficiency and resilience through so-called Supply Chain Event Management (SCEM). When looking at the concepts published so far for the design and operation of SCEM systems, it is noticeable that the operative functions of SCEM have not been sufficiently installed, the configuration and implementation of SCEM systems have not been treated adequately, and a cross-company view has not been considered properly. This article presents a detailed framework model of an SCEM system to fill these gaps and help design and implement such systems.
