Abstract A Tier 1 automotive supplier increases annual profits by more than 20% with a single sourcing project. A 15% savings is achieved in another project that was expected to result in price increases. A school district achieves significant cost reductions in its statewide purchasing of school lunches, while improving the quality of the meals and increasing margins for its suppliers.
