Abstract: Zusammenfassung Die Sektion München wurde am 9. Mai 1869 gegründet. Sie ist eine von 16 Gründersektionen des im gleichen Jahr gegründeten Deutschen Alpenvereins e. V. (DAV-Bundesverband) mit Sitz in München. Der DAV ist die weltweit größte Alpinismus-Organisation mit deutschlandweit 357 Sektionen und insgesamt rund 1.385.000 Mitgliedern.
