A chapter in The Future of Work, 2024, pp 205-212 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Those who talk about transformation cannot remain silent about new ways of working. New ways of working are the effective response to three current transformative core aspects: Firstly, we are dealing with exponentially progressing technological leaps that create unforeseen challenges and opportunities for organizations. Secondly, we are dealing with a persistent acceleration of changes, coupled with a partial inversion of paradigms believed to be stable. Thirdly, there is a need for a realignment away from the sufficiently economically cultivated fields of optimization towards new forms of organization and value creation. Thus, new ways of working are the complementary element that gives shape and foundation to the meaning and leadership of collectively intelligent teams in a network.
