Corporate Culture—How the Culture of a Company determines their success or failure

Arkadiusz Grontzki ()

A chapter in The Future of Work, 2024, pp 311-317 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract For decades, the culture of a company remained a missed out qualitative variable in terms of business success. The management continues to predict future events based on quantitative information such as numbers and KPI-forecasts. However, it becomes apparent that internal processes already fail due to false entrepreneurial thinking and action as well as communication. This leads to a reduction, if not even the an absence of the economically necessary success. In addition, if no distinctive USP (= unique selling proposition) in a way of corporate culture can be developed, companies have to accept higher expenses for salaries and benefits to find and retain skilled workers. This article aims to clarify the structure and function of corporate culture and to what extent it has or should be an equivalent element in decision making for management and executives. In addition, corporate culture simplifies and accelerates the achievement of business goals. While taking care of reviewing corporate culture in its multiperspective dimensions, concise solutions facing current challenges are being worked out in this article.
