Abstract:
Abstract Recovery is essential for physical and mental health and thus also a prerequisite for performance. Effective recovery can prevent or at least reduce the negative effects of stress. It is important that recovery takes place regularly so that the consequences of stress do not become chronic. There are various activities that contribute to sustainable recovery. Research results show a high effectiveness of exercise, disconnecting from work, and relaxation. Organizations can create health-promoting conditions through their culture, leadership, office & work design, which promote the recovery of their employees.
