A chapter in The Future of Work, 2024, pp 421-429 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract The future of work is inconceivable without a representative proportion of women in leadership positions. But how do companies achieve this goal? Experience shows that established personnel development and talent strategies in companies are not sufficient. It’s time to rethink talent management. This article focuses on network competence as a underestimated but crucial mechanism for the career development of female talents. The field of application in the context of operational processes is examined. Recommendations for action are also derived, based on the LINK Model. The development moves away from the traditional talent pipeline towards an agile career path, which is managed by women and promoted by companies. After all, network competence is not only an established career building block, but in particular a driver for innovation and productivity of the organization as such.
