Abstract: Zusammenfassung In Zeiten von Digitalisierung, Big Data und dem Einsatz von KI-Methoden in vielen Lebensbereichen wird interdisziplinäre Forschung geradezu vorausgesetzt. Doch was bedeutet Interdisziplinarität konkret und lässt sie sich rekonstruieren? In diesem Beitrag wird diesen Fragen mit einem „Algorithm of Neighborhood Generating“ (ANG), einer Methode des Artificial Life, nachgegangen, indem eine jahrzehntelange wissenschaftliche Arbeit exemplarisch nachgezeichnet und strukturiert wird.
