Phase 3 in the Sales Cycle: AI to Support Customer Conversations
Manuel Beck ()
Chapter Chapter 5 in Artificial Intelligence in Sales, 2025, pp 71-82 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter discusses the use of Artificial Intelligence to support customer conversations. Although this is not a classic phase in the sales cycle, customer conversations are indeed part of every phase of the process and with the increasing use of remote work and virtual meetings, AI is gaining significant importance here. It offers great added value by analyzing, optimizing, and supporting conversations in real time. Initially, AI-based conversation analyses and transcriptions are described. Furthermore, the focus is on AI-supported real-time feedback and sales coaching as well as live translations of sales conversations. In addition, the improvement of image and sound quality in video meetings through AI is highlighted. Finally, helpful prompting tips for the use of ChatGPT and similar tools are presented.
