Abstract: Zusammenfassung Das erste Kapitel führt in das Thema der Motivation ein und verdeutlicht wie Motivation entsteht und was Motivation als eine Königsdisziplin ausmacht. Dabei werden die Grundelemente des klassischen Motivationsmodells beleuchtet. Leistungsmotivation ist demnach das Resultat eines Zusammenspiels von Motiven und Anreizen. Spezifische Anreize oder Umfeldeinflüsse aktivieren das Leistungsmotiv. Des Weiteren werden innerhalb des ersten Kapitels die zentralen Forschungsfragen der Untersuchung präsentiert.
