Chapter Chapter 15 in Quality Management for Services, 2023, pp 589-628 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Companies are required to ensure an efficient use of the resources available. In the context of so-called efficiency controls, the achievement of selected performance categories is taken into account, but in particular the efficiency of the quality measures carried out. Here, it is important to consider the economic efficiency of the use of quality measures. In the context of this chapter, the cost and benefit components of quality management of services will be presented and discussed in detail. Based on this, the focus is on a cost-benefit analysis as a proven instrument of efficiency control. Finally, the use of efficiency control in the context of quality management is critically assessed.
