Abstract:
Abstract System analysis techniques have long been used to interpret the transport system behaviour and the performance of its components. More recently, increasing attention has been given to the relationships between the transport system and the global system to which it belongs (Meyer and Miller 2001). The study of these relationships is central to the transportation system analysis and to the definition of integrated transport/land use planning strategies.
