Abstract:
Abstract The linearization of theories, one of the most characteristic traits of the attractive face of the mathematics of today, appears best when the fundamental notions of differential and integral calculus are put in place — along with the rest of the calculus. Infinitesimal analysis reigns supreme today in nearly all the fields of applied mathematics. Linear algebra and infinitesimal calculus (including the first elements of differential and integral calculus) remain the two essential goals of all worthwhile teaching of mathematics at the secondary level.
