Abstract:
Abstract Gridding is an effective approach to urban management, social governance, public safety, and environmental remediation in Beijing. This chapter briefly explains the process of gridding development in Beijing, the significance of gridding, its basic characteristics, and the main functions and effects of gridding in Beijing. Simultaneously, with regard to the recent trends and developments in the Internet of Things, big data, and cloud computing, this chapter discusses the overall thinking, objectives, and the main countermeasures of current and future Grid+ innovations and developments in Beijing based on the Internet+. These projects boost the innovations of social governance service in Beijing and improve city management, social welfare programs, public safety, and environmental protection, thereby continuously advancing the information, intelligence, standards, science, and modernization of urban development construction and social governance services. Together, these contributions can accelerate the construction of Beijing City into a world-class harmonious and livable capital city.
