Chapter Chapter 1 in Augmenting Employee Trust and Cooperation, 2021, pp 1-10 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter provides a general overview of the book. The workplace is moving away from a traditional corporate structure to one with less psychological attachment, but higher expectations; it also is giving more focus on individuality in employees. The employer-employee workplace relationship is one of dynamic interaction, involving individual expectancy and motivation. The underlying motivation of employers is to elicit the maximum potential trust and cooperation from their employees to achieve organizational goals. On the other hand, employees are motivated to trust and cooperate when their expectations are satisfied.
