Abstract:
Abstract The third inter-platform competition for the de facto standard repeated around 1994, and the situation was similar to the rivalry in 1987–1991. Nintendo’s Super Famicom, which held the dominant position, had passed its peak. Technological change had widened the gap between the frontiers of technology and the performance of home video game consoles.
