Abstract In the previous chapter, we looked at ecosystem management by platform firms at the macroscopic level (industry structure), using the example of Intel. This leading platform firm is a semiconductor manufacturer, but it also designs the architecture of the overall personal computer and attracts symbiont firms into its ecosystem.
