Chapter Chapter 10 in Transmedia Brand Storytelling, 2023, pp 197-221 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter adopts a similar case study research approach as the previous chapter to investigate the transmedia branding campaign for the highly successful Bollywood movie, Sachin: A Billion Dreams (2017). The movie shares the story of legendary cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar’s journey from a small boy to living his dreams and becoming Indian cricketing royalty. With cricket being a hugely popular pastime in India, the Indian Government reported the country is home to more than 54 million cricketers and the potential interest in this movie from a vast audience size called for a highly immersive transmedia experience to capture attention in the lead up to its release and long afterwards.
