Abstract Founded in 2010 in Beijing by now multi-billionaire Lei Jun when he was 40 years old, Xiaomi is a Chinese designer and manufacturer of consumer electronics and related software, home alliances, and household hardware. It is the second-largest smartphone maker in the world, behind Samsung. Within a decade, Xiaomi has grown from a start-up to the youngest company on the Fortune Global 500.
