Abstract:
Abstract This paper aims to examine the impacts of organizational factors (green HRMGreen HRM practices and green transformational leadershipGreen transformational leadership) and individual factors (big five personality traitsPersonality traits) on employees’Employee green behaviorGreen behavior in the hotelHotel industry. We collected data from employeesEmployee working in 4- and 5-star hotelsHotel in central VietnamVietnam. The study employed multiple regression to test the hypotheses. The research findings revealed that green HRMGreen HRM fully mediates the link between green transformational leadershipGreen transformational leadership and employees’Employee green behaviorGreen behavior. Of the five personality traitsPersonality traits, only conscientiousness affects employees’Employee green behaviorGreen behavior. The study provides valuable insights for hotelHotel managers in developing policies to enhance their employees’Employee green behaviorGreen behavior. The study also contributes to limited studies on employees’Employee green behaviorGreen behavior in Asia’s emerging economies.
