Digital Marketing Channels Overview: From Core to Specialized
Diego Adolfo Carrasco Gubernatis
Chapter Chapter 21 in The Digital Marketer's Playbook, 2024, pp 167-200 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, I will give you a general overview of digital marketing channels. I’ve classified them into three categories: core, emerging, and specialized channels in an effort to make them easier to understand. I will cover core channels, expand into the less traditional and emergent sectors like DOOH (digital out-of-home) and cinema advertising, and give you an overview of specialized channels such as voice search ads. This will help you understand the wide array of available channels, including their specific use cases, advantages, disadvantages, and their main ad formats.
