Chapter 8 in Market Research with Panels, 2022, pp 89-100 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Depending on the panel type, these dimensions differ in parts significantly. The range of articles results in an initial classification according to the distinguishing criterion of consumer goods, services, and media. However, this is by far not sufficient to achieve a customer-specific market observation for its assortment. While the articles have a specific identity across all panels, the reporting rhythm of the panels determines the periodicity. The periods describe the time and thus the rhythm of continuous reporting by the institutions. The reporting cycles range from daily data delivery to once-a-year reporting.
