Chapter Chapter 3 in Recent Advances in System Reliability, 2012, pp 33-48 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The theory of signatures originally emerged as a useful and elegant tool in the analysis of coherent systems with components having independent, identically distributed lifetimes. Recently this theory has been extended to the case of exchangeable lifetimes. Here, we discuss some related concepts that arise when the lifetimes are not exchangeable.
