A chapter in Advances in RAMS Engineering, 2020, pp 455-475 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Deterministic safety analyses as well as probabilistic safety assessments are widely used in risk management of complex engineering systems such as nuclear and process plants. Challenges to these approaches include modeling of dynamic interactions among physical process, safety systems, and operator actions as well as propagation of these model uncertainties.
