Chapter Chapter 17 in Reliability Assessment of Safety and Production Systems, 2021, pp 227-233 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter describes how the minimal cut sets introduced in the previous chapters provide a powerful mean for qualitative analysis of reliability block diagrams or fault tree models when no numerical probabilistic data are available. It introduces the fundamental concept of single failure criterion and explains how the minimal cut sets prove to be very effective in order to identify possible common cause failures.
