Chapter Chapter 27 in Reliability Assessment of Safety and Production Systems, 2021, pp 409-421 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract One interest of the techniques of the Boolean family is that they can be easily combined with other methods. This chapter describes the combination of FTs and RBDs between themselves and with other approaches: the combinations with FMEA/FMECA, RBDs/FTs, cause-consequence diagrams, event trees, bowtie models and the link with the root cause analysis are briefly described. The combinations with Markov processes (FT-driven Markov processes) or Petri nets (dynamic FTs and RDB-driven PNs) described in specific chapters are also mentioned.
