Abstract: Abstract Professor Ravishankar K. Iyer received his BA (1970) and Ph.D. (1977) Degrees from the University of Queensland in Australia. He then went to Stanford University on a CSIRO Fellowship as Post Doc. After some years at Stanford, he moved to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1983 as an Assistant Professor. Since then he has stayed with the University of Illinois for his entire professional career, receiving many awards and promotions.
