Chapter Chapter 8 in Design of Mechanical Systems, 2023, pp 329-422 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter shall consider the case studies of parametric ALT. They shall be applicable to some mechanical products—airplanes, automobiles, construction equipment, appliances, and others. Therefore, an engineer shall alter the design imperfections. These case studies will also be helpful as follows: (1) set a reliability objective, (2) determine the accelerated factor by load analysis, and (3) carry out the parametric ALT until mission cycles are achieved, which might be obtained from the sample size formulation when the lifetime objective is assigned.
