Chapter 38 in Aircraft Maintenance Programs, 2026, pp 383-390 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter explains Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM), a maintenance approach that monitors the actual condition of aircraft systems to perform maintenance only when needed. It covers the evolution from reactive and preventive methods to predictive and condition-based strategies, supported by technologies such as Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), Aircraft Health Monitoring (AHM), and advanced data analytics.
