A chapter in Data-Driven Methods for Reliability and Safety Engineering: Applications in Industrial Systems, 2026, pp 417-429 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract This paper examines fastening devices for critical precision instruments in complex aerospace equipment, identifying the underlying causes of preload failure and comparing the theoretical foundations of commonly used methods, including the torque method, angle method, and yield point method. The ultrasonic measurement method is ultimately selected for design and application. Using the installation of inertial navigation units (INUs) as a case study, systematic verification is conducted, demonstrating excellent performance outcomes.
