Chapter Chapter 8 in Point Processes for Reliability Analysis, 2018, pp 247-278 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Counting processes (point processes) constitute a useful tool for modelling random recurrent events. Numerous papers and books were published in recent decades on various aspects of modelling and analysis of recurrent events, describing also a wide range of applications. These applications include but not limited to: analysis of repairable items, queueing models, insurance risk analysis, biology, telecommunication, and so forth.
