Abstract:
AbstractThis paper addresses the critical issue of control within a Project Management environment. Project Management concepts and the use of Project Management tools are noted in order to better control construction related projects. It is important to realise that Project Managers or in fact any manager can not initiate retrospective corrective actions. Once a task has been completed one can not affect its outcome. Thus in order for the control function to be effective and efficient it must also be timely and this aspect is explored.
